And like any living creature, there are things we can do to help them share their best with you:

1. Don't drown your soap. Store your soap on a well drained soap rack rather than an enclosed soap dish - unless you like soggy, squishy soap!
2. Allow your soap to breathe in between uses. The drier it gets, the longer it will last.
3. Use a wash cloth, bag or puff to extend the life of your soap rather than rubbing the bar all over yourself.
4. Use your soap within 8 to 12 months of purchase to get the freshest, most vibrant experience.
5. Share the love (and the soap scents) with your clothes. Keep any extra bars of soap in your clothes drawers or linen closet and dive in when you need a fresh bar. You keep the soap away from light and heat and your clothes smell amazing!

Why is our soap is so good for your skin?
  1. We use extra skin-friendly oils - We ensure that our bars retain just enough extra free botanical oil so that the skin is not left dry, irritated and dehydrated. In fact your skin should feel better, more hydrated than when you went into the shower!
  2. Our soaps are formulated and handcrafted so that each bar contains its complete natural compliment of emollient, moisturising glycerine. 
  3. We use a high percentage (over 65%) of skin conditioning botanical oils in our soap. You see olive and rice bran oils contain some of the most skin loving, conditioning, anti-inflammatory long chain fatty acids available... and these convert into skin nurturing, conditioning and anti-inflammatory soaps!

Our soap formula didn't come out of a book.

Plagued by body pain, headaches, and skin issues from her autoimmune condition, our founder Leonie, refused to suffer in silence. When nothing worked, she turned to nature. Blending herbs and oils to create products that truly made a difference. Word spread, and Moon Haven was born.
