At moon haven we believe in the sustainability of all our raw materials, and in our products. And so we faced a dilemma when it came to sourcing Rosewood Essential oil.

You see the Rosewood tree is an endangered species.  

Rosewood is an endangered species due to the ever increasing controls that CITES* has put on the harvesting of the Rosewood tree (Aniba rosaerodora), the amount of legal rosewood finding its way to essential oil distillers has significantly reduced to a point now where we have been unable to source a good quality oil from a reputable trusted source. 
At moon haven we refuse to play a part in endangering the Rosewood Tree further - it goes against what we stand for
