Our Lemon & Poppyseed soap is wonderful to use all over your body. in the shower, bath and basin.

  • To exfoliate - just rub the bar over your wet skin.
    Be Gentle - we're not after a sand paper effect.
  • Our soaps are super economical and long lasting.
  • Use a wash cloth, mitt or puff
  • You need just a little soap on a wash cloth, wash puff or mitt to get a good suds up. Of course you can use the soap bar directly on your body - you just might use the soap up a faster.
  • Keep your soap out of water and as dry as possible between uses. We recommend you use a soap rack, Eco Soap Saver Bag or Soap Saver Rack to help keep your soap as dry as possible

Segregated Sustainable Palm Oil is Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which is segregated from non-certified oil at every stage of the supply chain.

This means that the palm oil we use does not contribute to deforestation, the loss of rain forest. In fact, a percentage of every box of oil we purchase for soap making is contributed to helping to rehabilitate orangutans and their environment.

Lemon & Poppy Seed soap has been a moonie favourite for over 20 years!

Lemongrass (also known as Cochin Grass)is one of nature's most uplifting oils.  It has an intense  lemony citrus scent with earthy undertones. Leomongrass oil has been used to promote clear skin and low mood.

May Chang essential oil has an intense lemon zesty scent with floral accents which perfectly supports the overall lemon scent of our lemon & poppy seed soap. It has been used over the ages for its skin toning and antispasmodic properties.

At Moon Haven we love borrowing ideas from our fields of delight... like cake baking.
The Lemon and Poppyseed Soap story starts with going out for morning tea and delighting in a stunningly morish orange and poppyseed cake.
It was moist, so very tasty and the scent was truly amazing. The poppyseeds gave the cake an amazing extra dimension - crunchy and a taste sensation of their own accord.
Of course an experience like this stirs any soap makers heart. 
And the idea for a poppyseed soap was born. While an orange soap would have been poetic we decided that a truly lemon scented soap would accent the poppyseeds even more.

Perfect!

For weeks I have had really dry flaky skin on my face and arms which I thought was caused by the soap I was using from the shop. The first time I used the lemon and poppy seed soap I noticed a huge difference with my skin. The dry flaky skin was gone and I felt that the soap added moisture to my skin. This soap is now my favourite and the scent is amazing.
