No good if some one has sore legs as need something more spreadable and soft. Have to dig it out like a rock.
The salves are meant to be in a solid form so that they are not spilt in your back or when travelling. We supply a popstick with each salve. You use the popstick (or even you fingernail) like a butter knife scaping the salve out of the salve out of the jar to soften it and apply to the skin where it readily melts onto and into the skin.
If you try to chunk the salve or rub out of the jar you will find that the lumps do not melt easily and yes it does make a mess.
Here are the instruction on our St Johns Wort & Calendula Fact Sheet that should have come with your jar:
How to use SJAWC
1. Using the popstick supplied scrape out a small amount of SJAWC
from the jar. (Hint: use the popstick like a butter knife and scrape out
the salve rather than chunking it out- this softens the salve and makes
it much easier to apply)
2. Apply salve to the required area and rub gently into the skin. There
is NO NEED to vigorously massage and dig into the
muscles...sometimes this can be detrimental and quite bruising to
already distressed muscle tissue. Allow the rub to sink into the skin - if
there is still an oily residue 10 to 20 minutes after application then you
have most probably used too much... reduce the amount next time.
3. If applicable apply some SJAWC to the part of the spine that
'controls' the aected area. e.g. sore shoulder or elbow then also apply
rub to the neck, sore hip or knee then apply extra rub to the lower
back. The reasoning behind this is that much of the muscular aches
and pains we have are often referred pain from the spine and applying
rub to these areas can assist in reducing the inammation in these
4. Apply as often as needed.
I hope this helps.
leonie of moon haven
I have been using this moisturiser cream for a number of years. It is beautiful. I have tried other creams, mostly when I run out of Moonhaven ones and have never found anything that comes close to the quality of this cream. I always go back to Moonhaven. People often ask me what I use on my skin too, as I’m in my 50’s, and my skin must be responding well to this cream. I highly recommend it!! I love supporting a local business too rather than the big cosmetic companies.
I emailed you last week you did not receive the moisturiser as you sent an essential oil instead I will email you again on Monday.thank you
