Properties
Rose Geranium Oil is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic ,detoxifying, and it has the wondrous ability to balance all skin types.
Hormone Balancing
Rose Geranium oil is effective at addressing premenstrual symptoms like abdominal cramps or sore breasts and menopausal symptoms like hormonal imbalances.(See below for the formula and method.)
Combats the ageing process
Even more helpful is that Rose Geranium oil helps your skin to regenerate at the cellular level, which makes it perfect to help combat the signs of ageing. Yes that’s the creases, crevices and wrinkles on your face, the age spots and the excessive dryness we all seem to experience as we grow older.
History
Geraniums have been prized throughout the ages for their scent, especially the rose scented varieties. Rose geranium was mainly grown in southern and western African countries where the dry summers and cooler, wet winters allowed the plants to thrive.

Now days Rose Geranium Oil is sourced from a number of countries with some of the finest examples coming from Kenya, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco. The vast bulk of the essential oil is used in the perfumery industry with just a small proportion reserved for aromatherapy uses.
Suggested Uses
Premenstrual Tension, Cramps and Bloating
5 drops Rose Geranium Oil
2 drops Juniper Berry Oil
1 drop Cypress Oil
10 ml Carrier Oil of choice (Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rice Bran )
Mix all ingredients together and massage into belly (use a clockwise massage technique, gliding over the bladder gently ) and the lower back
Menopause Spray
5 drops Rose Geranium Essential Oil
2 drops Clary Sage Oil
50 ml water
Place all ingredients into a small spray bottle
Shake bottle well and spray onto face and wrists when experiencing a hot flush
Dog Tick Preventative
Place 1 drop only of Rose geranium oil at the base of the tail and in between the shoulder blades of your dog before walking into tick prone areas.
Repeat each time the dog goes into these areas.
