Rose Geranium -pretty flower with a glorious scent

Mmmm the earthy rose scent of this magnificent essential oil is the basis for Moon Haven’s mature skincare range.
It’s  scent makes me feel warm, comforted and transports me back to my Grandma’s rose garden when I was a kid.

Rose Geranium Oil is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic ,detoxifying, and it has the wondrous ability to  balance all skin types.

Hormone Balancing

Rose Geranium oil is effective at addressing premenstrual symptoms like abdominal cramps or sore breasts and menopausal symptoms like hormonal imbalances.(See below for the formula and method.)

Combats the ageing process

Even more helpful is that Rose Geranium oil helps your skin to  regenerate at the cellular level, which makes it perfect to help combat the signs of ageing. Yes that’s the creases, crevices and wrinkles on your face, the age spots and the excessive dryness we all seem to experience as we grow older.

Geraniums have been prized throughout the ages for their scent, especially the rose scented varieties.  Rose geranium was mainly grown in southern and western African countries where the dry summers and cooler, wet winters allowed the plants to thrive.

Now days Rose Geranium Oil is sourced from a number of countries with some of the finest examples coming from Kenya, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco. The vast bulk of the essential oil is used in the perfumery industry with just a small proportion reserved for aromatherapy uses.
