SOFT OCEAN SUMMER VIBES

Inspired by the beautiful waters of Geographe Bay- Clear aquas of the white sandy sea bed and deep blues as you look out to the horizon .

It took a while and a fair amount of experimentation to choose the essential oils that would remind our moonies of long summer days spent at the beach. But we think we nailed it with our Seagrass blend.

With wonderful lemon scented eucalyptus, lemon myrtle and rosemary essential oils Seagrass soap has become very popular with our wonderful group of Moon Haven Moonies.

Our Seagrass soap is wonderful to use all over, in the shower, bath and basin.

  • Suitable for everyone from toddlers to the frail aged.
  • Our soaps are super economical and long lasting.
  • Use a wash cloth, mitt or puff
  • You need just a little soap on a wash cloth, wash puff or mitt to get a good suds up. Of course you can use the soap bar directly on your body - you just might use the soap up a faster.
  • Keep your soap out of water and as dry as possible between uses. We recommend you use a soap rack, Eco Soap Saver Bag or Soap Saver Rack to help keep your soap as dry as possible

Our Bars are approximately 80x50x30mm and weigh between 110 -120g

Water, Coconut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, SG Palm Oil*, Olive Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Essential Oil, Natural Oxides 

*The palm oil we use in our gorgeous soaps helps to keep the bar long lasting and stops it from becoming mushy when wet. Of course we are very environmentally conscious and use Segregated, Sustainable (SG) Palm Oil. 

What is Segregated Sustainable Palm oil you ask?

Segregated Sustainable Palm Oil is Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which is segregated from non-certified oil at every stage of the supply chain.

This means that the palm oil we use does not contribute to deforestation, the loss of rain forest. In fact, a percentage of every box of oil we purchase for soap making is contributed to helping to rehabilitate orangutans and their environment.

What can I say about this exquisitely scented bar?
It's one of my personal favourites. You see, the scent takes me back to my childhood growing up on Geographe Bay. A childhood full of fun and adventure on the ocean.

Scent is like that. It can evoke the most powerful memories and emotions.

We used three powerful memory invoking essential oils in the seagrass scent blend: Lemon Scented Eucalyptus, Lemon Myrtle and Rosemary

Leonie of Moon Haven's story of how Seagrass was created

I grew up playing in the crystal clear waters of Quindalup in the heart of Geographe Bay. Whenever I think of that time, the scent of the clean salty herbal coastal heath mixed with the summer breeze wafts through my mind.

When Eric and I started making soap, way back in the early days, I wanted to try to capture that scent and more importantly, the feeling of that time.          

Seagrass's soap colours reflect the actual colours of the sea as they are seen in the bay at the height of summer... Clear aquas of the white sandy sea bed and deep blues as you look out to the horizon.

It took a while and a fair amount of experimentation but we settled on a scent we now call Seagrass.

With wonderful lemon scented eucalyptus, lemon myrtle and rosemary essential oils Seagrass soap has become very popular with our wonderful group of Moon Haven Moonies.

BORN OF NECESSITY

Plagued by body pain, headaches, and skin issues from her autoimmune condition, our founder Leonie, refused to suffer in silence. When nothing worked, she turned to nature. Blending herbs and oils to create products that truly made a difference. Word spread, and Moon Haven was born.
