Ingredients

Many of our moonies prefer this wonderfully scented oil over traditional tea tree - with its gorgeous citrussy scent and gentler action.
Tea Tree Lemon comes from a hardy, bushy shrub with fine narrow leaves and small white to pink flowers.

This wonderfully versatile oil may assist with:

  • boosting mood

  • helping to focus the mind

  •  clarity of mind when problem solving

  • energising

  • antibacterial

  • antifungal

10ml bottle - approximately 200 drops

  • Recommended for all ages. Always use in a diluted form

  • when applying to the skin.

Lemon scented Tea Tree oil blends well with: Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Cypress, Eucalyptus,  Ginger, Juniper, Lavenderberry, Lemon, Mandarin, Orange, Peppermint, Pine, Rose geranium,  Rosemary and Thyme.

Much like regular Tea Tree, Lemon Scented Tea Tree Essential Oil is said to have antiseptic, anti-microbial, carminative and sedative properties. It is used extensively in the perfumery, cosmetic, and aromatherapy industries. It has also grown into a premiere ingredient in bug-repellent products – particularly those with a natural slant. Its anti-allergenic and anti inflammatory properties also help in the relief of skin disorders and rheumatic ailments.

  • Diffuse: Add 5 to 10 drops to your chosen essential oil or blend to the diffuser or oil burner. Experiment with different combinations of oils and blends.  Don't forget to write each blend into a dedicated notebook along with your feedback. That way you'll get to know which blends are the most effective for you.
  • Bath: Do not add undiluted essential oils to your bathwater. Oil and water do not mix. Instead mix 3 to 5 drops of your chosen essential oils or blends  with a drop of shampoo/ detergent or in 20 ml (1 tablespoon) of full cream milk. Add this emulsion to the bathwater and slip in. The essential oils emulsifies in shampoo / detergent / milk and so distributes them more evenly throughout the bathwater.
  • Warm Compress: Place 1 drop of essential oil into a small bowl of warm water. Soak a washcloth in the water and wring out well. Place the washcloth over the face with eyes closed and relax, Repeat as needed. Do not exceed 1 drop of essential oil and use with caution when using strong essential oils and blends like Moon Haven's Clove, Cinnamon, Thieves Essential oils and blends.
  • Steam Shower Inhalation: Enjoy an aromatherapy shower by placing 3 to 5 drops of your choice of essential oils and /or blends on a washcloth on the floor of your shower. Turn off the fan and enjoy the essential oil laden steam while you shower. (Note: Do not place essential oils directly onto the shower tiles as the oils may break down the tile glaze)
  • Massage Oil: Create your own massage medium oil or cream. Use Moon Haven's Essential Oil Dilutions Chart to calculate the correct number of essential oil drops to add to your chosen carrier oil or massage cream. enjoy!
  • Direct Inhalation: Sometimes we just need a quick pick me up and that can mean just opening up your favourite essential oil or blend and taking a quick whiff. Alternatively, if you find the scent from an open bottle a little too strong for you, just smell the bottle cap. The result will be a gentler, more subtle fragrance.

THE TEA TREE - LEMON SCENTED ESSENTIAL OIL STORY

THE First Aid Oil

Tea Tree Oil is celebrated for its amazing first aid properties - yet many find its scent off-putting.
Straight Tea Tree Oil's antiseptic scent reminds many of our moonies of hospital wards, doctors surgeries and cleaning products.
This is where Lemon Scented Tea Tree comes into its own.

Gentler Scent - Equally Potent

With all of the properties of Tea Tree Oil but with a much more acceptable scent we use it as one the main oils in our Universal Herbal Ointment.
Which makes for a much more pleasant sensory experience

It is the lemony accent of this oil (courtesy of its citral component ) that gives it its wonderfully mind clarifying and focusing properties- while retaining the fundamental actions of tea tree oil itself.

The preferred tea tree oil
Once discovered, many of our moonies transfer their tea tree preference over to this lemon scented variety.  Once used it is difficult to return to regular tea tree oil.

BORN OF NECESSITY

Plagued by body pain, headaches, and skin issues from her autoimmune condition, our founder Leonie, refused to suffer in silence. When nothing worked, she turned to nature. Blending herbs and oils to create products that truly made a difference. Word spread, and Moon Haven was born.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

Nature knows best. At Moon Haven, we take our cues from her. We harness the power of wildcrafted plants, organic herbs, pure plant oils, clays, and seeds to create products that are not only effective but delight the senses and soothe the soul.

POWERED BY PASSION

We do what we do because of moonies like you. Your enthusiasm, support, and love for our products fuel our passion every day. We couldn’t do this without you, and we wouldn’t want to. Whether it’s answering your questions or creating products that truly make a difference. We’re here to help.
