Children & Baby Massage - How many drops?

Massage is so good for every body...but none more so than for babies and children.

According to the Mayo Clinic, infant massage

    • Encourages interaction between you Strengthens the bond between parent and child
    • Helps children relax and sleep.
    • Positively affects infant hormones that control stress
    • Reduces crying (we all want that!)

Essential Oils and Child Massage

Massage with an unscented base can begin at birth. Use gentle carrier oils like coconutalmond or jojoba.
You can then cautiously begin to use essential oils diluted according to the rates in the table below from 6 months onwards –then generally increasing to adult rates from 6yrs onwards.

Suitable starter oils to add to your base include our beautiful lavender, sweet orange and rose geranium essential oils. (all these oils are in our Home Essentials Starter Pack).
