Start Your Aromatherapy Journey with these 8 Essential Oils

 We are often asked which essential oils we'd recommend to someone starting out in Aromatherapy.

The first two we always suggest are Lavender Oil -Lavandula angustifolia and Sweet Orange Oil - Citrus sinensis. Both oils have a myriad of uses and can be used by everyone from newborns to the frail aged.

If you wish to delve further I'd recommend the following oils;

Peppermint Oil - Mentha arvensis
Lemongrass Oil - Cymbopogon flexuosus
Eucalyptus Australiana Oil - Eucalyptus radiata
Rosemary Oil - Rosemarinus officinalis
Rose Geranium Oil - Pelargoneum graveolens sp. Roseum
Tea Tree Oil - Melaleuca alternifolia

With these oils you can cover a lot of aromatherapy applications - from relaxation and sleep, to uplifting mood and soothing body aches and pains.

If you're wanting to give aromatherapy a try then we've put together these 8 oils  as the ideal essential oil  starter kit.
It's a great way to get started on building your own oil collection and  trialling your own personal oil blends to use in oil burners, massage oils, baths, inhalations, room fragrances and perfumes.

Of course if you want tog o further my next essential oil recommendations would include Frankincense, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Rosewood. (Each are included in our Precious Oils Pack )
