Visited Moon Haven a couple of times during the trip down south. This is the very first time purchasing online. My order has arrived just within 3 days !!!!!! And big thanks to the special request on the webpage!

Acne Action Pack

Thank you for your expedite delivery!
My 18 yo son has been using the Acne Action pack for the last 9 days. He has been on long term antibiotics for the last 2 1/2 years with intermittent small cystic outbreaks. We recently booked him a dermatologist appointment to discuss management, still unhappy with his skin. Since starting the Acne Action Pack, a notable difference has been enjoyed with no further outbreaks. He is still on the wash and cleanse only plan and we are likely to cancel the dermatologist appointment and consider reducing his antibiotics. He did also recently start (3 weeks ago) an acne specific probiotic, which may be together making a positive natural relief.

Get a Good Night's Sleep - Naturally

Insomnia - the inability to get a good nights sleep is an extremely common problem and one we are often asked to help with at the moon haven cottage.

 

Luckily we have a number of techniques, products and information to help guide you back to good sleep health and habits.

  • Make sure your bed and bedding is suitable to getting a good sleep
  • Your bed should be comfortable, supportive but not too firm, Pillows the right height for your sleeping position and bedding light , loose and comfy.
  • Ensure your bedroom is dark, cool and quiet
  • Establish a good sleep routine - 
  • avoid exercise, screen time and heavy stimulating food and drink at least 2 hours before bedtime
  • keep your bed purely for sleep (and partner cuddles!)
  • Avoid screen time before sleep -
  • keep electronic devices (phones tablets and computers anywhere but the bedroom
  • Ensure that you are physically and mentally ready for rest and sleep at the end of the day

 

Moon Haven's Deep Sleep Pulse Point Potion

Get a Check-Up

Sometimes poor sleep and deep fatigue have a more deeply rooted cause and when simple sleep techniques like the above do not prove effective then it is wise to book a full medical check up with your doctor.

 

Conditions like Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Anxiety and Depression can impact significantly on sleep quality and in turn a persons quality of life. So it is wise to follow up with your medical practitioner of choice for further guidance and treatment.

  • Hi Liz,

    As you have found, restless legs syndrome can have a huge impact on your sleep – both in quantity and quality.
    While our Deep Sleep Pulse Point Potion and other ideas discussed here can be helpful I feel that you would get the best results by dealing initially with your restless legs issue.

    From my own experience – and through the suggestions of our wonderful moonies…
    I have found that firstly making sure you are taking good magnesium, Vitamin B and calcium supplements just before bed can be helpful.
    Also massaging a little of Moon Haven’s St John’s Wort & Calendula Rub into your lower legs and feet can make a significant difference as well.

    Make sure you get a little gentle exercise each day and make sure oyu are drinking plenty of water

  • Hi Leonie….I use the pulse point…and had indifferent results…..my bigger problem is restless legs, which bothers me all night…No matter how sleepy I feel, I have to get out of bed and stand up and walk around …after a while, back to bed and same, same over and over each night….never during the day.

    Can you help please….thanks…Liz
