I am sorry to hear that your son is not doing so well with his excema. It is very common for the condition to be more appparent and itchy after exertion ( eg sports) because the circulation has increased, the skin often becomes more sweaty and the itchiness more inense.
I havefound that in cases where the steroid creams are no longer as effective that often the chickweed and plantain or even calendula salve can help calm the condition significantly.
The salves must always be applied lightly so at not to block the skin's pores and whenever it s needed.

Mel,
I can understand your point of view. This is the traditional Western medicine approach to treating eczema and while often effective can have undersirable long term side effects. Moon Haven is all about finding more natural and simple treatments that do not have these side effects. With the case in point, our Chickweed and Plantain salve has proved to be very effective for many of our clients who suffer from extreme eczema.
